Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Event Coordinator to plan, manage, and execute successful events. You will be responsible for coordinating logistics, working with vendors, ensuring smooth operations, and delivering memorable experiences for clients and attendees. This role requires strong communication skills, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and execute events from concept to completion
Coordinate with clients to understand requirements, budgets, and event goals
Source, negotiate, and manage vendors including venues, caterers, decorators, and entertainment
Develop event timelines, checklists, and run-of-show schedules
Manage event logistics such as invitations, registrations, seating, and guest services
Oversee setup, on-site coordination, and breakdown of events
Monitor budgets, expenses, and ensure events stay within allocated costs
Handle unexpected challenges and resolve issues efficiently during events
Ensure compliance with safety, health, and legal requirements for events
Collect feedback and prepare post-event reports to measure success
Qualifications
Proven experience as an Event Coordinator or in a similar role
Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Knowledge of event management software and MS Office tools
Creativity and problem-solving skills to handle on-the-spot challenges
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required
Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field (preferred)
Minimum 2 years of experience in event planning or coordination
